“An American Story: The Battle of Athens”
An American Story (also known as The Battle of Athens), a 1992 TV movie, chronicles the true life story of the 1946 showdown in Athens (McMinn County), Tennessee, where returning WWII veterans fought a corrupt local political machine. Fed up with harassment and rigged elections, the veterans use force and their 2nd Amendment right to reclaim stolen ballot boxes.
